Description:
Polymer-modified bitumen rubber-based, elastic, high-viscosity water-based, single-component UV-resistant waterproofing material.
Advantages:
• Ready-to-use, fast and easy to apply
• Forms a seamless waterproofing layer
• Adheres perfectly to the applied surface
• Can be applied on both vertical and horizontal surfaces
• A water-based product that is environmentally friendly.
Usage areas:
Used as a waterproofing material against the foundation, curtain walls, wet spaces, balconies, and terraces of buildings, retaining walls, floor moisture, leakage water, temporary and continuous water pressure.
• The surface should be free from mold release agents, cement residues, loose particles, and debris; clean, smooth, sound, and not exposed to frost.
• Internal corners should be chamfered by using Içköşeler CORION REPAIR FIX 03 series structural repair mortars. External corners should be rounded by using mechanical methods.
• Surfaces should be primed with a mixture of CORION BITUMFLEX UV 1K 1003 bitumen component and water at a ratio of 1/10.
• For porous, rough, or punctured surfaces, a skim coat application with CORION BITUMFLEX UV 1K 1003 should be applied to prevent air bubbles and/or to level the surface.
• Surface voids deeper than 5 mm should be filled and leveled with CORION REPAIR FIX 03 series structural repair mortars.
Application Conditions:
•Ambient temperature should be between +5 degrees Celsius and +5°C and +35°C.
•It should not be applied in very hot weather.
•It should not be applied on frozen or surfaces at risk of freezing.
Application:
- • After the primer coat has dried, CORION BITUMFLEX UV 1K 1003 should be applied to the entire surface evenly with a brush, trowel, or spray at least 2 coats without thinning.
- The second coat application should be done after the first coat application has fully dried.
- The total application thickness should be determined based on the area of application and the water pressure that the insulation layer will be exposed to.
- In areas exposed to temporary water pressure, after the first coat application of CORION BITUMFLEX UV 1K 1003, an alkaline-resistant glass fiber reinforcement mesh should be placed on the entire surface to achieve a 4mm application thickness, and the second coat application of CORION BITUMFLEX UV 1K 1003 should be done to completely cover the mesh.
Application Tools:
Hand mixer, brush, trowel
Consumption:
- Use appropriate safety equipment (mask, gloves, goggles).
- Protect your eyes and face.
- In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
- For detailed safety information, please read the Material Safety Data Sheet.
- Do not apply on metal surfaces.
- Water should not be added to the mixture under any circumstances.
- Foreign materials should not be added to the mixture.
- Expansion joints on the application surfaces should not be sealed with CORION BITUMFLEX UV 1K 1003, and the continuity of the insulation should be provided with expansion joint tapes at these points.
- CORION BITUMFLEX UV 1K 1003 applied surfaces should be protected against freezing for at least 3 days.
- The concrete surface to be applied with CORION BITUMFLEX UV 1K 1003 in areas exposed to continuous pressurized water should comply with the requirements of TS EN 206.
- The application of CORION BITUMFLEX UV 1K 1003 on the terrace should be solved with the inverted roof detail (application of thermal insulation layer on top of the waterproofing layer).
- In addition, the flooring concrete should have a minimum thickness of 12 cm, a smooth and stable surface with a 2% slope.
