Usage Area:
It is used for waterproofing and protection of all horizontal terraces, roofs, balconies, parking lots, bridge tops, and similar areas of all buildings. It is also applied as a waterproofing material in wet spaces, as well as in areas where plant root resistance is required, and as a waterproofing material in the repair of old waterproofing coatings.
- The surface must be clean, dry, even and sound.
- Significant irregularities and holes on the surface should be repaired with CORION REPAIR FIX 03 repair mortars at least 24 hours before applying CORION TRANSPARENT POL 1K.
- Expansion joints on the application surface should not be sealed with CORION TRANSPARENT POL 1K, and expansion insulation tapes should be used for the continuity of insulation at these points.
- Vertical and horizontal corners should be chamfered with CORION REPAIR FIX 03 repair mortars to ensure the continuity of waterproofing.
- Absorbent surfaces such as cement-based and wood, and surfaces such as glass, metal, old ceramic, bitumen, and acrylic-coated surfaces should be primed with CORION EPO FLOOR PRIMER 5800 epoxy primer.
Application Conditions:
•Ambient temperature should be between +5 degrees Celsius and +5°C and +35°C.
•It should not be applied in very hot weather.
•It should not be applied on frozen or surfaces at risk of freezing.
Application:
• Before application, CORION TRANSPARENT POL 1K should be thoroughly mixed and applied to the primed surface using a brush, roller, or spray. If the application area is horizontal, the product can be applied to the surface by pouring it and using a roller or brush.
• Fine cracks, joints, corners, and edges should be reinforced with felt tapes after the first coat application. In terrace roofs and similar applications, felt tape application should be done on the entire surface after the first coat application.
Application should be at least 2 coats, and a waiting period of at least 12 hours should be observed between coats (the waiting period should not exceed 36 hours).
It should not be applied to surfaces with a humidity level of more than 5%.

Consumption:
1.5-2.0 kg/m2 (for 2 or 3 coat application)

• The application surface should not have a humidity level above 5%.
• An primer application should be done prior to the application.
• The product should be kept away from heat sources and smoking.
• During application, gloves and goggles should be used, and contact with eyes and skin should be avoided. In case of contact with eyes and skin, it should be rinsed with plenty of water and medical attention should be sought immediately.
• Sufficient air circulation should be provided in the application area.
• The applied product may yellow over time when exposed to UV light. However, this effect is only visual and does not affect the mechanical properties and performance of the product.

The specified times are valid for surface and ambient temperatures between 20-23°C. The time will be longer at low temperatures and shorter at high temperatures.
