Advantages:

Usage areas:
Used for waterproofing and protection of all building’s horizontal terraces, roofs, balconies, parking lots, bridge upper parts, and similar areas. It is also used as a waterproofing material in wet area insulation, insulation of areas where plant roots need to be resistant, and in the renovation of old waterproofing coatings.
• The surface should be clean, dry, smooth, and sound.
• Significant irregularities and holes on the surface should be repaired with CORION REPAIR FIX 03 group repair mortars at least 24 hours before applying CORION TRANSPARENT POL 1K.
• Expansion joints on application surfaces should not be filled with CORION TRANSPARENT POL 1K, and expansion joint insulation tapes should be used to ensure continuity of insulation at these points.
• Vertical and horizontal corners should be chamfered with CORION REPAIR FIX 03 group repair mortars to ensure continuity of sealing.
• Cement-based and absorbent surfaces such as wood, and surfaces coated with glass, metal, old ceramics, bitumen, and acrylic should be primed with CORION EPOFLOOR PRIMER 5800 epoxy primer.
Application Conditions:
• Ambient temperature should be between +5°C and +35°C.
• Application should not be done in very hot weather.
• Should not be applied on frozen or surfaces in danger of freezing.
Application:
Before application, CORION TRANPARENT POL 1K should be mixed thoroughly and applied to the primed surface using a brush, roller and spray. If the application area is horizontal, the product can be applied with a roller or brush by pouring it onto the surface.
Fine cracks, joints, corners and edges should be supported with felt tapes after the first coat application. In terrace roof and similar applications, felt tape should be applied to the entire surface after the first coat application.
The application should be at least 2 coats, at least 12 hours should be waited between the coats. (standby time should not exceed 36 hours).
It should not be applied to surfaces with a humidity of more than 5%.

Consumption:
1.5-2.0 kg/m2 (for 2 or 3 layers application)

• Protect your eyes and face.
• Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
• If it comes into contact with eyes, immediately rinse with plenty of water and seek advice from a specialist.

• The surface moisture level should not exceed 5% before application.
• Primer application must be done prior to application.
• The product must be kept away from sources of ignition and should not be smoked near.
• During application, gloves and goggles must be worn, and contact with eyes and skin should be avoided. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical attention immediately.
• Adequate air circulation must be provided in the application area.
• The applied product may yellow over time when exposed to UV light. However, this effect is only visual and does not affect the mechanical properties and performance of the product.

The specified times are valid for surface and ambient temperatures between 20-23°C. The time will be longer at low temperatures and shorter at high temperatures.
