Description:
Polymer-modified bitumen rubber-based, elastic, high-viscosity water-based, single-component water insulation material.
Advantages:
•Ready to use, fast and easy to apply
•Forms a seamless waterproofing layer
•Fully adheres to the applied surface
•Can be applied on both vertical and horizontal surfaces
•It is a water-based product and environmentally friendly.
Usage areas:
Used as a waterproofing material against the foundation, curtain walls, wet spaces, balconies, and terraces of buildings, retaining walls, floor moisture, leakage water, temporary and continuous water pressure.
•The surface should be free from mold release agents, cement residues, loose particles, and debris; clean, smooth, sound, and not exposed to frost.
•Internal corners should be chamfered by using Içköşeler CORION REPAIR FIX 03 series structural repair mortars. External corners should be rounded by using mechanical methods.
•Surfaces should be primed with a mixture of CORION BITUMFLEX UV 1K 1003 bitumen component and water at a ratio of 1/10.
•For porous, rough, or punctured surfaces, a skim coat application with CORION BITUMFLEX UV 1K 1003 should be applied to prevent air bubbles and/or to level the surface.
•Surface voids deeper than 5 mm should be filled and leveled with CORION REPAIR FIX 03 series structural repair mortars.
Application Conditions:
•Ambient temperature should be between +5 degrees Celsius and +5°C and +35°C.
•It should not be applied in very hot weather.
•It should not be applied on frozen or surfaces at risk of freezing.
Application:
•After the primer coat has dried, CORION BITUMFLEX 1K 1001 should be applied to the entire surface with a brush, trowel or spray gun in at least 2 coats without thinning.
•The second coat application should be carried out after the first coat has completely dried.
•The total application thickness should be determined according to the area of application and the water pressure that the insulation layer will be exposed to. In areas where there is temporary water pressure, after the first coat of CORION BITUMFLEX 1K 1001 application, an alkali-resistant fiberglass reinforcement mesh should be placed on the entire surface to ensure a 4mm application thickness, and the second coat of acrobitüm 100 should be applied to completely cover the mesh.
Application Tools:
Hand mixer, brush, trowel
Consumption:
. Use appropriate safety equipment (mask, gloves, goggles).
. Protect your eyes and face.
.In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
. For detailed safety information, please read the Material Safety Data Sheet.
- Do not apply on metal surfaces.
- Water should not be added to the mixture.
- Foreign materials should not be added.
- Expansion joints on the application surface should not be filled with CORION BITUMFLEX 1K 1001. The continuity of the insulation should be ensured with expansion joint sealing tapes at these points.
- Surfaces where CORION BITUMFLEX 1K 1001 has been applied should be protected against freezing for at least 3 days. As it is not a UV-resistant material, the surface should be covered with a suitable material after the drying period.
- Before backfilling, protection must be applied to the foundation walls where CORION BITUMFLEX 1K 1001 has been applied.
- In areas exposed to continuous water pressure, the concrete surface to be treated with CORION BITUMFLEX 1K 1001 must meet the requirements of TS EN 206.
- For terrace applications of CORION BITUMFLEX 1K 1001, an inverted roof detail (insulation layer applied over the waterproofing layer) must be used. In addition, the concrete slab should be at least 12 cm thick, have a solid and even surface with a slope of at least 2%.
- All tools used in the application must be washed with water before they dry. Dried residues should be cleaned with a thinner.
